Artist baker is a charming place that serves custom-made cakes, light lunch fare, and some truly unique offerings. All the ingredients used here are fresh and locally sourced whenever possible. If you come during the summer, this is one of the best places in the area to sit outside, enjoy some coffee and a scone, and get a little work done or just people-watch.

Try the maple pecan pie, the croissant bread pudding with toffee sauce, or the box of cranberry scones. We also love the rosemary corn muffins and the bacon, blue cheese, and apple quiche. Lunch is available at Artist Baker and includes things like avocado toast and delicious salads.

Swiss Chalet is a bright and fun shop with lots of good breakfast and lunch food, all kinds of pastries, and some of the most delicious desserts you’ll ever eat. The only problem here, if you can call it a problem, is that it can get very busy. Be sure to get here early if you want breakfast or lunch. Otherwise, be prepared to wait knowing that it’s well worth it.

Some of the best things here are the cupcakes and specialty cookies, which change regularly and are just as much fun to look at as they are to eat. There are also cakes, pastries, and absolutely delicious fresh bread and rolls baked in the brick oven. Every day they bake up baguettes, focaccia, sourdough, and more in a variety of flavors.
